Spanish II:

Tarea: Make Unit 4A puzzle. Cut it out and place it into a ziplock bag. Bring the puzzle to class on Monday along with Thursday’s work.

Please study the Unit 4A vocabulary, imperfect tense and the indirect object pronouns over the weekend. Our Unit 4A test will be Wednesday.

Tarea: Make your fives slides for your part of the Latin Grammys presentation. Remember that you may only have five words on each slide and that you may not read your presentation.

Tarea: Study for Friday’s quiz. Know the Unit 4A vocabulary, the imperfect tense (including irregulars) and indirect object pronouns.

Hola mis alumnos geniales,

I will miss class tomorrow due to a foreign language conference. Your quiz will still be on Friday. If you were unable to complete the podcast last night, please turn it in on Friday. There will be a help session on Friday at 7:35 in room 77 for those of you who would like to review before hte quiz.

Tarea: Translate to English Destinos 9 (the words that you need)

Remember that when referring to the sequence of tenses, the tense of the W.E.I.R.D.O. verb indicates which subjunctive will be used. For now we are only focusing on the top half of the sequence of tenses.

Tarea: 4A-5, 4A-6

Hola chicos,

Please continue to study the imperfect tense, the indirect object pronouns and the Unit 4A vocabulary for tomorrow's CFA and Friday's quiz. Our test is scheduled for February 1st.

Spanish IV:

Tarea: Make a puzzle with the Unit 5 vocabulary words. Cut out each piece and place them into a Ziplock bag. Bring them to class tomorrow.

Hola chicos,

Remember that the sequence of tenses indicates which subjunctive to use. The present subjunctive and present perfect subjunctive follow W.E.I.R.D.O verbs that are in the present, present perfect, future and commands.

Hola angeles,

This weekend you should study your vocabulary and the imperfect tense. We will practice more on Monday and take a CFA on Tuesday to see how much you understand. The quiz will be on Friday, January 27, and the test will be on Wednesday, February 1st.

Tarea: Complete at least one audio activity from the blog. Three of the four are due on February 16. Also find a person/musical group/category this weekend for your group project. You must let me know your individual person/group/category on Monday.

At this level, you will need to pace yourself with assignments. I would like to remind you of a few things that you should have accomplished by now. You should have one journal turned in, you should have one audio activity from the blog completed, and you should have chosen the person/group/category that you will present to the class. Please keep up with the pace so that you will not fall behind. Have a great weekend!

Spanish II:

Tarea: 4A-B and 4A-2 and finish the Bingo card

Hola mis alumnos preciosos,

Tomorrow we will work in groups of three on a previewing activity. We will then begin our first episode of "En Busca de la Verdad," a Spanish video series. You will be asked to answer questions based on what you view and read ahead of time. Afterwards, we will end the clas with vocabulary Bingo.

Tarea: 8-4, 8-6 and study for tomorrow's quiz. Know the Unit 5 vocabulary, the conditional tense and the present perfect subjunctive vs. the present perfect indicative.

Tarea: 4A-A and 4A-1

Hola chicos,

The imperfect tense is going to be your friend. There are only three irregular verbs, which we will learn in class tomorrow and only one set of endings. Remember that we use this tense to talk about things that always used to happen in the past.

Our first quiz will be Friday, January 18, over the Unit 5 vocabulary, the present perfect subjunctive and the conditional tense. Tarea: Cultural activity #1

Hola mis alumnos,

For most of you, the first cultural activity is due tomorrow. On this blog, go to "pages" and scroll down to the link that will take you to podcasts and cultural activities. Print the cultural activity that you would like to investigate and research it on line. Write your answers on a separate piece of paper and turn in tomorrow.

Tarea: Choose 20 vocabulary words and draw them. Write the Spanish word.

Hola alumnos preciosos,

Remember to try to start the semester off right. We will begin a new unit on Tuesday. In the meantime, please study your vocabulary list, and remember to choose 20 words that are unfamiliar to you and draw them on your homework sheet. Also include the Spanish word. Drawing the word and writing the word are strategies that will help you retain the vocabulary words.
