The Guidance, Counseling, and Career Center provides assistance to Pope students in a variety of areas including academic advisement, career and college planning, and counseling for personal, social, and family problems. Ninety percent of Pope students enter college after high school . . . eighty percent to four year colleges and ten percent to two year colleges. The remainder of students enter vocational/technical schools, the military, or the world of work.
The main focus in our center is helping students prepare for the future. Providing information and guiding students in decision making regarding course selection, career direction, and admission requirements to post secondary institutions are necessary steps in preparing Pope students for the 21st century.
