French 1 Speaking and Writing Assignment

For today's task, copy and paste the information below into a Word document. Then answer the questions in French on that Word document. Save often!

Today your task is step 1 in creating your speaking and writing assessment for this unit (remember: unit test 12/16/2011)

Big picture:

In class on Wednesday, 12/14/2011, talk about your house in French, using your graphic organizer as a speaking prompt. Record a minimum of 6-8 French sentences about your house. You may not read as you present, but practice enough outside of class until you can “talk”, not “read” about your house. The responses you create with today’s assignment will be the “core” of your speaking assignment. That is why today’s task is critically essential to your success next Wednedsay.

Expectations for today in class:

Download the “questions personnelles” and save them as “(your name)_ma_maison_mini-project”.

Be sure to save them to your student file, and also back up on your jump drive or send as an attachment to your email address, if you stay within the CCSD technology use policy guidelines.

First, download the questions at the link above. Type your responses on the document. Save often!

Due next Wednesday, 12/14/2012

Answer the following questions in French. They will be the core of your speaking assessment.

French 1: mini-house project

Today in class we focused on the unit vocabulary pertaining to the house. We began a mini-project that combines new vocabulary and various architectural forms found in different parts of France, with special note of half-timbered houses and mansard roof lines. Students viewed authentic images of half-timbered dwellings in France prior to starting their mini-projects. Phase #1 (today’s work) of the project is to create the floor plan and label 8 French terms from vocab list. Phase #2 will be speaking about the house you create.

The virtual tour included:
