It will supply information on medication policies for Cobb County Schools.

• For example, high schoolers can carry “over the counter” meds, but cannot carry prescription meds.
• No meds will be given to a student if not supplied by a parent or brought from home.
• Also, if a student needs to keep a medication in the clinic, an “authorization to give medication at school” form can be downloaded from “Quick Link” School Health Services section of the web page.
• If a student has a medical condition such as diabetes, asthma, seizures, or allergies, you can download a health care plan and medication forms for the clinic.

School Health Services Mission Statement

The mission of the Cobb County School Health Services is to strengthen and facilitate the educational process through improvement and protection of the health status of all students. School nurses work as a team with school administrators, teachers, counselors, school social workers, families and community to identify and assist each student to reach their maximum state of well-being.
